	ARTRIST'S STATEMENT Always riding the line between abstraction and figuration, my paintings are constant fountain of energetic forms and maintain a flow of emotional investment. I paint forms with close ties to process, the experience of art making and the body. Keeping the visual experience of my work organic, I create figure-ground relationships throughout my compositions. Planes of space become simultaneously positive and negative space within the same work. Every artist seeks to develop his or her own signature style. For me, the careful synthesis of classical and contemporary art defines my approach to painting. People, landscape, and abstract shapes exist on equal footing in my work. I draw out a world of intersecting tiles - facets that produce an organic mosaic of overlapping shapes and render the body as a patchwork of light and shadow.
